Most humans haven't. And there is a tendency, frankly not only by humans, to center human experience. Humans, "the norm", and then everybody else. Like we only exist in contrast to, or whatever.
I don't mind that a lot of people don't automatically understand what I am. I don't automatically understand what everybody else is. I just object to the idea that someone gets to think of themselves as "normal" when they mean "ignorant".
